Declaring a baggage incident or lost property

Were you unable to locate your baggage on arrival or was it damaged? Did you leave any personal belongings or carry-on baggage onboard an Air France aircraft, in a waiting room or at a check-in desk?

We do our best to help you resolve these issues.

If your baggage is missing on arrival in Incheon

Report this immediately to the Air France Baggage Service located in the delivery area of the airport. A Property Irregularity Report (PIR) will be created and a baggage file number (e.g. ICNAF12345) given to you. Please keep it safe.



Incheon Baggage Assistance Service is responsible for following up your file for the first five days following baggage loss:

If your baggage is not located within 2 days

Complete the inventory letter as accurately as possible, giving:



- the brand, color and shape of baggage,

- details of all items contained in the baggage, including brands, number of pieces, prices)

Contact Incheon Baggage Assistance Service for inquiries on your baggage, or check online directly using our worldwide computerized Baggage tracking system.

* In case you change your address, please be sure to inform Baggage Assistance Service for accurate baggage delivery.

From the 22nd day following the loss,

We do our utmost to find your baggage during the first three weeks following your official loss declaration. Even after this time period has passed, if your baggage has still not been located, we invite you to contact our Customer Care.

If your baggage is missing on arrival in a foreign country

Report this immediately to the Air France Baggage Service at the airport where you land. A Property Irregularity Report (PIR) will be created and a baggage file number (e.g. CDGAF12345) given to you. Please keep it safe.



Baggage Assistance Service of the airport where you land is responsible for following up your file for the first five days following the baggage loss.

If your baggage is not located within 2 days

Complete the inventory letter given to you when the baggage file was created in the airport, as accurately as possible, giving:



- the brand, color and shape of baggage,

- details of all items contained in the baggage, including brands, number of pieces, prices

From the 22nd day following the loss

Delay claims

If your baggage has been found and delivered, but it is several days late, we cover all delay claim costs that you may have incurred owing to this inconvenience (for example, toiletries, clothes, etc.)



To receive a refund, you must send a letter (within 21 days after your baggage has been delivered) supplying your expenditure documents (invoices, etc.) to our Customer Care.
* Customers are requested to contact the Customer Care in the country of their residence.



* The transport of your baggage, especially overstuffed items, may cause scratches, marks, and other damage, for which we cannot be held responsible.



* However, in case of substantial damage, we are committed to offering you a reasonable indemnity.


Damaged Baggage


  • If you find that your baggage is damaged upon arrival in Incheon




  • Report this immediately to the Air France Baggage Service located in the delivery area of the airport. A Damage Property Report (DPR) will be created and a baggage file number (e.g. ICNAF23456) given to you. Please keep it safe.Once this report has been drawn up, contact our Customer Care.






  • If you discover that your baggage is damaged once you have left Incheon airport


  • Submit a claim to our Customer Care within 7 days of the date you received your baggage.





  • If you find that your baggage is damaged upon arrival in a country other than Korea



  • Report this immediately to the Air France Baggage Service at the airport where you land. A Damage Property Report (DPR) will be created and a baggage file number (e.g. LHRAF45678) given to you. Please keep it safe. Once this report has been drawn up, contact our Customer Care.





  • If you discover that your baggage is damaged once you have left the airport, in a country other than Korea




  • Submit a claim to our Customer Care within 7 days of the date you received your baggage, attaching the originals of the following documents:



    - E-ticket receipt,

    - boarding passes

    - baggage label(s)

    - the Damage Property Report (DPR) created at the destination airport

    - expenditure documents.



    Partial loss of baggage



  • If you find that some of your baggage contents are missing upon arrival in Incheon



  • Report this immediately to the Air France Baggage Service located in the delivery area of the airport. A Damage Property Report (DPR) will be created and a baggage file number (e.g. ICNAF12345) given to you. Please keep it safe.

    Once this report has been drawn up, contact our Customer Care.





  • If you find some of your baggage contents are missing once you have left Incheon airport



  • Submit a claim to our Customer Care within 7 days of the date you received your baggage. Beyond this timeframe, we will be unable to process your request.






  • If you find that some of your baggage contents are missing upon arrival in a country other than Korea

  • Report this immediately to the Air France Baggage Service at the airport where you land. A Damage Property Report (DPR) will be created and a baggage file number (e.g. MADAF12345) given to you. Please keep it safe.

    Once this report has been drawn up, contact our Customer Care.






  • If you find that some of your baggage contents are missing once you have left the airport, in a country other than Korea




  • Submit a claim to our Customer Care within 7 days of the date you received your baggage, attaching the originals of the following documents:



    - E-ticket receipt,

    - boarding passes

    - baggage label(s)

    - the Damage Property Report (DPR) created at the destination airport



    Beyond this timeframe, we will be unable to process your request.
